beautybagg is now in a very limited private beta mode (sign up here!), so we decided to go to IMATS LA over the weekend to do some guerrilla marketing. [Did you get a flyer or sticker at IMATS? Don't forget to follow us and tweet or Facebook us a picture for an early access code!]
Our first time at IMATS did not disappoint! Makeup artistry was abound – just check out some of our pictures:
We also saw a ton of girls from the Youtube beauty community, such as Tiffany (MakeupByTiffanyD) and Camila (MakeupByCamila), who were both doing makeup at Sigma, and Ingrid (missglamorazzi), who is modeling our beautybagg sticker! It was so nice to meet these beauty gurus!
And of course, the shopping! For beauty lovers like us, it was heaven. There was a long list of exhibitors, from well-known brands, such as Make Up Forever, Stila, Urban Decay, and Laura Mercier to more professional makeup brands, such as Ben Nye and Kryolan. While we exercised EXTREME self-restraint, we didn’t walk away empty handed…
Don’t judge!
We weren’t expecting to pick up brands we normally have access to, but given that Bobbi Brown, Laura Mercier, and Stila were all 40% off, it would’ve been a bit of a crime to resist. The KohGenDo pack was $30 (not sure on the discount), and Hakuhodo sadly had no discount, but their brushes truly are amazing and in a category of their own.
